So I met this girl from New Orleans
Her mind was bent through all her dreams

Because of broken dreams or broken hearts
We were singing some songs made of sadness and beer
That's when we realized a heart is meant to be clear
She said “I know we can make it, if only we try”
Then she turned her head down and started to cry
And the city will be ours
For the next couple of hours
